Buyers Strike – not fair?

Can you believe it… buyers want to strike!  The article which appeared on the front page of THE AGE calls for buyers to strike ..”Dont bid at auctions or make an offer by private treaty. Stay away from the market…..”

Remember the whole point of being a “buyer” is that you are looking for an outcome and the outcome you are looking for is to BUY a home or an investment , thats the point of being a buyer and thats why you jump on to the treadmill of doing what buyers do…

The problem with this strategy  of striking, is that buyers who adopt it are no longer “buyers” and as a consequence wont get the desired outcome no matter what …. they wont buy a property and are not relevant to the property market.

People have always voted with their feet…if they do not like something they simply turn around and walk away. Buyers can do the same thing…while remaing a “buyer” but voting with your feet…. i.e. stop bidding when you have had enough etc.

The problem with striking, is what happens when the strike is over? You simply come back to the market as a BUYER, and guess what you are in no better shape than you were in before you went on strike.

If you dont understand this or feel like going on Strike, I empathise and can help you…Call me

Colin

Even as the tied turns we see a real estate willing to take advantage of the desperate. I look forward to watching real estate agents get a dose of reality.

I am not sure what you mean…..

I dont think that you can blame a hot property market on the Estate Agent fraternity.

There are many factors , including demand and supply , population growth etc

All I was saying is you cant actually strike as its not a real response…because it assumes that at some point you will come back to the market..
